The Rutherford Congregational Church, has long been known for its members’ friendliness and its family atmosphere. The Membership and Fellowship Board, composed of elected members of the congregation, work to attract, greet and welcome members and visitors, and to initiate and coordinate fellowship programs and activities. Upon entering the door for Sunday worship, members and visitors are greeted at the door, pick up a name tag, and feel the warmth of being truly welcome. Following the service is a Fellowship Hour, held in our Community Room, where refreshments are offered and adults and children have a chance to “sip and chat”. We care for our friends and “family” with greeting cards, visits and phone contact, supporting each other in times of celebration, concern, and sorrow. Various programs and fellowship activities are coordinated by the Membership & Fellowship Board, including pot luck suppers, speakers and informational programs, and other special events of interest to the congregation and the community. Keeping faith, Reaching out, and Welcoming all is truly our goal.
